After many weak stomachs, headaches, and exhausted teachers we have come to a conclusion in the JH Science Dissection season. Before anything else I would like to thank Irion County ISD Administration for allocating the funds that inevitably come with these big Science projects. We are fortunate to have these opportunities and look forward to continuing these dissections in years to come. So, the students and I Thank Yall for funding our dissections of frogs(7th) and Sharks(8th), as well as putting up with the atrocious smells that came from room 117.
JH students, WOW, y'all did amazing! The learning that took place during both of these dissections was unreal. I appreciate all of your efforts even through the Vicks, masks, gagging, and headaches. I'll admit even I got choked up a couple times, but the important thing is that questions were asked and y'all's inquisitive nature came to the forefront and y'all became rookie Biologist.
These dissections were held in the 7th grade where they dissected Leopard Frogs, and in the 8th grade where they dissected Dog Sharks. Both of these labs support the learning of the duration of both classes this year as we continued our adventure into beginners Biology and Earth Science.
Remember always ask questions. (When, Where, Why, What, How)
Thanks Again IC Admin
